1. Getting Started

1.1 Create your account

Open the starter flow from the Sign In page and enter your email. If your email is new, Riteflix guides you through account setup. If your email already exists, Riteflix routes you into login continuation.

1.2 Verify your email

Email verification is required for secure account access. Use the latest code or sign-in link sent to your email inbox. If the code expires, request a new one.

1.3 Choose who is watching

After login, select a profile on the Who's Watching screen before browsing titles.

2. Profiles & Who's Watching

2.1 Create and edit profiles

Use Manage Profiles to add or edit profile name, avatar, PIN protection, and profile type.

2.2 Profile types

Riteflix supports adult and kids profiles. Kids profiles use safer defaults and parental control checks.

2.3 Switch profiles

You can switch profiles anytime from account/profile menus. This keeps recommendations and watch history separated per person.

3. Browsing Movies, Shows & Kids

3.1 Main content pages

Use these frontend sections to browse content:

3.2 Featured hero and rails

The top hero highlights featured titles. Rows below group content by playlists/categories, including Top 10 rails where available.

3.3 Detail view

Use More Details to open title metadata, trailer preview, cast/related content, and action buttons before playback.

4. Watching Movies & Episodes

4.1 Start playback

Click/tap Play on any title card or modal. Movies open in watch.php; episodes open in watch-episode.php.

4.2 Episode flow for TV shows

From TV Show details, choose season and episode. Playback supports Next Episode behavior when configured for that show.

4.3 Trailer vs full content

Hero and modal areas may play trailers or previews. Use Watch Full Movie/Play for the complete stream.

5. Continue Watching & My List

5.1 Continue Watching rail

Riteflix saves progress during playback and surfaces unfinished titles in Continue Watching.

5.2 Viewing Activity

Open Viewing Activity to see profile-specific recent watch history.

5.3 My List and reactions

Use + My List to bookmark titles for later. Reactions and ratings (when enabled) help personalize recommendations.

6. Kids Time & Parental Controls

6.1 Kids Time limits

Parents can set daily time quotas from account/profile controls. When time is exhausted, playback is blocked until parent approval.

6.2 Parent PIN

Set or update account/profile PIN in Account PIN and related profile settings.

6.3 Kids boundaries

Kids profiles should only access permitted content and approved account actions. If access looks wrong, update profile type and PIN settings immediately.

7. Account, Plan & Billing

7.1 Membership and plan changes

Open Membership or Change Plan to switch between available plans and billing intervals.

7.2 Payment method

Manage payment details in Payment Method. Billing actions stay inside Riteflix account pages.

7.3 Paid title access

If a title requires subscription and you see a gate prompt, confirm your active plan and current signed-in profile.

8. Security, Login & Password

8.1 Password reset

Use the login/reset flow to request a reset code or sign-in link, then set a new password securely.

8.2 Email changes

Email changes require confirmation through a code sent to the new email before update is accepted.

8.3 Sign out of devices

Use account security pages to sign out unknown devices and protect your account session.

9. Mobile Experience

9.1 Mobile landing and navigation

Mobile users can start from m-index and browse optimized mobile pages for home, movies, TV shows, and kids content.

9.2 Mobile modal drawer

On mobile, title details open as a slide-in panel. Use Play for full playback and More Like This for related content.

9.3 Player behavior on mobile

The player is optimized for touch controls and can switch to landscape experience for better viewing.

10. Reviews & Community

10.1 Post a review/comment

Use the Community flow to submit feedback for titles. Posts may be moderated before visibility.

10.2 Where to access

Visit Community or open community actions from supported title pages.

10.3 Good posting standards

Keep posts respectful, relevant, and family-safe. Avoid personal data and abusive language.

11. Troubleshooting Playback

11.1 Basic checks

  • Refresh the page and retry playback.
  • Sign out and sign back in.
  • Switch network (Wi-Fi/cellular) to rule out connection issues.

11.2 If a title does not play

Open a different title to confirm whether issue is title-specific. If only one title fails, report that title name and page URL in support request.

11.3 If controls look broken

Clear browser cache and disable conflicting browser extensions. Then test again on latest Chrome/Safari/Edge.

12.1 Contact form

Use Contact Us for account, billing, playback, and general questions.

12.2 What to include in support message

  • Your profile name (not password/PIN)
  • Title name and page URL
  • Device type + browser
  • Time issue happened
  • Screenshot (if available)

12.3 Privacy reminder

Never share your password, PIN, or payment card details in a support message.
